Treat yourself to homemade frozen yoghurt this weekend, without needing an ice cream maker! These useful tips are the steps you need to follow for delicious frozen yoghurt!
4 cups Greek yoghurt
1 cup Raspberries, strawberries or blueberries (the choice is yours!)
2 tbsp Honey
1. Strain your yoghurt well using an ultra-fine sieve. Even if you use Greek yoghurt (which is already strained), do it anyway. This removes as much excess liquid from the yoghurt as possible, which will prevent it from getting too icy in the freezer. We recommend leaving it to strain into a large bowl placed in the fridge for at least four hours or overnight. After removing, blot the outside of the sieve with a paper towel to get any leftover liquid.
2. Freeze your berries in advance. This will also help it to not get rock-hard and icy in the freezer. This makes a huge difference!
3. Combine ingredients and mix using a food processor, blender, hand mixer, or immersion blender to finish the job. This will help the honey and berry to infuse into the yoghurt. Do this quickly, before the frozen berries soften too much.
4. Put the mixture in the freezer for one to two hours — definitely check after one. Rather don’t leave overnight, or you may have to defrost the yoghurt a bit.
This recipe is best eaten the same day.
