New Balance 890’s Not Just a Light-Weight

So about a month ago the AWESOME bunch @NewBalance_SA threw a pair of gorgeous New Balance 890 trainers my way to try out and I was pleasantly surprised.

What the press says;

The New Balance 890, featuring a unique, innovative and revolutionary new foam compound, REVlite, is designed for the neutral runner who wants to run fast or feel fast in a lightweight package, without sacrificing durability, cushioning or support. The New Balance 890v3 available in men’s and ladies retails for R1 199.

These beauties weigh a mere 271 grams in men’s and 217grams in ladies, the New Balance 890 is the lightest shoe of its kind in the neutral cushioning category it is said to also be the the fastest growing segment in the running shoe industry.

There has also been no compromise in cushioning, stability or durability to make a shoe this light. REVlite midsole foam is used to make the cushioning and neutral runners have a surprisingly light running experience and feel safe, secure and comfortable.

ABZORB® cushioning crash pads work to absorb initial shock and provide the right amount of lateral release to guide the foot smoothly through toe off. Full ground contact through the midsole allows for very stable geometries, and provides inherent stability that can withstand pronation due to fatigue.

Lets face it looks wise the shoe is very bold and edge – black and white is definitely a thing of the past.

Over All – I love it and I think I am going to spend quite a lot of my running time with these babies!  Definitely one of my favie’s and a must have to you lovely lassies on the road!
